Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what information Thansil collects through its mobile apps and the website thansil.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and in plain language.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Thansil (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent app developer. This policy applies to every app published by Thansil on Google Play (the “Apps”) and to thansil.com (the “Website”). If an app needs to handle information in a way not described here, it will tell you in the app before doing so, and we will update this page.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us for support or feedback, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. The Apps do not require you to create an account.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Apps, we and the third-party services listed below may automatically collect:
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, language, app version and screen size.
- Identifiers: the Android Advertising ID, the Firebase installation ID and the app instance ID.
- Usage data: screens viewed, features used, session length and interactions with ads.
- Diagnostics: crash logs, performance data and error reports.
- Approximate location: a rough location, such as country or city, derived from your IP address. The Apps do not collect precise GPS location unless an app explicitly asks for that permission for a feature you choose to use.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, messages or files unless an app clearly asks for access to provide a feature you request. In that case the data stays on your device unless the app tells you otherwise.
3. Third-party services we use
The Apps use the services below, all provided by Google. Each one collects information under its own privacy policy. Not every app uses every service.
| Service | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play Services | Core Android services the apps rely on, such as app updates and integrity checks. | Device and app information, identifiers |
| Google AdMob | Showing ads, measuring ad performance and preventing ad fraud. | Advertising ID, IP address, device information, ad interactions |
| Google User Messaging Platform | Asking for and storing your ad consent choices where required by law. | Consent choices, device information |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Understanding how the apps are used so we can improve them. | App usage events, app instance ID, device information, approximate location |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Detecting and fixing crashes and stability issues. | Crash traces, device state at the time of the crash, installation ID |
| Google Play Billing | Processing in-app purchases or subscriptions, where an app offers them. | Purchase records. Payment details are handled by Google, not by us. |
You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4. Advertising
The Apps are free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your Advertising ID and other information to show ads that are more relevant to you (personalised ads), to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ad performance.
- Consent: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Apps ask for your consent through Google’s User Messaging Platform before showing personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time from the app’s privacy settings, where available, or by clearing the app’s data.
- Opting out: on Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads) and choose Delete advertising ID. After that, apps receive a string of zeros instead of an ID and you will see non-personalised ads.
- Ad preferences: you can manage how Google personalises ads at My Ad Center.
Ads may link to third-party websites or apps. We do not control those and their own privacy policies apply.
5. Analytics and crash reporting
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to see aggregated usage, such as which features are popular, and Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix bugs. We look at this information in aggregate and do not use it to identify you personally.
6. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Apps.
- To show ads that keep the Apps free.
- To diagnose crashes and fix technical problems.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and security issues.
- To reply to your messages and support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
7. Legal bases (EEA and UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent for personalised advertising; our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the Apps, including analytics and crash reporting; and legal obligations where the law requires us to process data. You can withdraw consent at any time.
8. Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with the service providers listed above, when required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger or transfer of the Apps, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
Some US state laws treat the use of identifiers for personalised advertising as “selling” or “sharing” personal information. You can opt out by deleting your Advertising ID as described in section 4 or by declining personalised ads when the app asks.
9. Data retention
We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months, and crash reports for around 90 days. Support emails are deleted when they are no longer needed to help you. Google retains advertising data according to its own policies.
10. Security
Data sent by the Apps to our service providers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Deleting your data: email contact@thansil.com with the name of the app and, if possible, your app instance ID (shown in the app’s settings where available). We will respond within 30 days. Uninstalling an app stops all further collection by that app.
12. Children’s privacy
The Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Google uses safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
14. App permissions
The Apps typically request internet and network-state access (to load ads and send diagnostics) and the com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID permission (to read the Advertising ID). Some apps may ask for notification permission. Any other permission is explained in the app when it is requested, and you can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.
15. The website
thansil.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. For significant changes, we will provide notice in the Apps or on this page.
17. Contact
